I believe that area called Rand Hill is east of Dannemora, not near Beekmantown. Many years ago I lived on a road referred to as the Rand Hill Road. As you leave Dannemora, heading towards Plattsburg, there is a Y in the road - the smaller road to the left is the Rand Hill Road.
