Mary, There used to be a motel in Dannemora called Ting's Motel, run by Ting Brayette, but I am not so sure it is still in operation. It was on Cook Street, which is the main street through town, with the prison on one side. I don't think Saranac has any, but Keeseville does. You may want to try the Best Western on Route 3 in Plattsburgh, only 15 or so miles away. I have stayed there and also in Keeseville. I grew up in Dannemora, but have never stayed in a motel there. There may be others, outside of town now, because of the visitors that come up to visit the inmates, but, personally, I wouldn't stay in them.
