I found, through NARA, info on casualties from both WWII and the Korean War. I've transcribed and extracted info on men from Clinton County, NY. The pages can be found at URLs: http://www.geocities.com/mdaubrey/WWII-ClintonCo.NY.html and http://www.geocities.com/mdaubrey/KoreanWar-ClintonCo.NY.html My original intent was to have them added to the Clinton Co., NYGENWEB site at rootsweb.com . __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SamPubCo has a wonderful service for Wills, Naturalizations and Intentions, and Guardianships. He only has Will info for Clinton Co., NY (not Naturalizations and Intentions, and Guardianships). http://www.sampubco.com/wills/ny/newyork.htm#clinton I have not used his fee service, only to locate a will. My folks, while in Plattsburgh, had the will copied at the courthouse. Hope that this helps. Mark __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. When searching from a distant state, what is the best way to obtain a probate record in Clinton County? Does anyone know what the county charges for copying a probate record? Will they search? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Kim, Maybe I could help. Which Gonyea's are you looking for? It doesn't look like any of those Gonyea's are any of mine as of right now. Kim
I have Gonyea in my tree in the Ausable Forks/BlackBrook area, wonder if there is any connection, expecially since I see the name Blaise. Vernon Gonyea married to a Germaine Miller Children Heather Jamie, and Jay. A Pauline Blaise married James Miller who was bron 1911, the son of my Grandfathers Twin brother Fred Miller. The Gonyea Names I do not have to much on except that they were not back to far, like mid 1900s. However the name did come into play back around 1850 someplace, and also the Perrott name is in my tree. Alexandre Perrott married my Grandfathers sister Delia Miller in 1878 > St James: > Gonyea > Napoleon L. 1880-1952 Melvina Badger 1887-1959 > > Riverside: > Gonya > Blaise L 1885-1958 Nellie E. Hi, all, I'm at an impasse trying to get a copy of an obit from the July 30, 1881, Plattsburgh Republican. I don't see a way on their web site for a non-university related person to order a printout and my local library has been unable to get the microfilm on interlibrary loan from NYS Library. So, I thought I'd ask if anyone has access to Feinberg or knows a student or faculty member who does, they might be willing to get the printout for me. I will of course pay any expenses. If anyone is able to help, please contact me directly. I have the call number, title of the article and the other necessary details to make the hunt fairly simple. Thanks for any help. Ann in South Carolina
Most, if not all of the LDS Family History Centers have the entire 1880 Census on CD, fully indexed and grouped by region, as well as having it available on FamilySearch.Org. Printing may cost a nickel or so per sheet. Mac
