    1. look-up Plattsburgh marriage? - Clark
    2. Carol White
    3. I was wondering if some kind person could check the Plattsburgh, Clinton Co., NY records to see when Elisha Clark and Praxa (Thuresa P.) Drury were married. Her family lived in Plattsburgh until 1814 and Elisha fought in the Battle of Plattsburgh in 1814. Their first known child was born in 1815. I presume they married in Plattsburgh but am not sure of the date. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. thanks. CArol White

    3. Hi Mary, I do show a Pierre Fournier as father to Theophile Fournier b 2/25/1830 and married to Mary Brown in Churubusco, NY on 5/23/1875. There was also Onesime, Desire, Dosithee and Odile born to Pierre and Mary. There doesn't seem to be a connection that I can see. Mary Brown was Theophile's second wife. The first being Elmire Taillefer m. 5/3/1853. They had a son Pierre Maximin Fournier b 12/14/1865. John

    3. Hi Pat, Thanks for writing. We need to look very carefully at the information we both have. IF the proposed lineage of my Peter Fournier is as suggested, then it is his sister Esther who is married to Joseph GAGNE, according to my notes. I have not verified with certified documentation...just compiled from information found thru online sources. The Esther I have married to Joseph GAGNE is: Daughter of Pierre Fournier and Archange Levasseur-Carmel. Born 21 March 1832, St-Jean, Quebec Died 21 October 1902, Redford, Clinton county, NY I show that they have 7 children. Does this match the information you have? The Esther I mentioned in my original post would be a niece to the above Esther married Joseph Gagne. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks! 1. Fournier in Clinton county
    2. Mary Atwood
    3. Hi John, Thanks for your response and interest in my Fournier lines. Hope we can connect. My starting point in Clinton county is Pierre FOURNIER and wife Julia/Julie MENARD (MANOR). I do not have any other family information on Julia Menard. I have strong speculation about the ancestors of Pierre/Peter Fournier. What I do know is this: Pierre/Peter Fournier was born in Alburg, Vermont; on 27 May 1823 or 1825. He died on 30 June 1901 in Plattsburg, Clinton county, NY. Julia Menard was born in 1830 in Beekmantown, Clinton county, NY and died in 1903 in Plattsburg. They have 11 children. I believe they are all born in Clinton county. (1) Pierre/Peter Fournier b. 1848 m. 1870 to Hermine (LA)FONTAINE; 4 children of this marriage (2) William Henry Fournier b. 29 July 1850 d. 22 March 1938; married 3 times * about 1870 to F---- MIGNAULT; b.1855-d. 1877 (1 child of this marriage) ** about 1879 to Mary D. This couple was married on 12 April 1825. Two other children of this marriage are: Jeremie Laurent Fournier (b. 1829 d. 1861) and Esther Fournier (b. 1831 d. 1902). I hope you recognize someone in this list and we are able to make a connection. Thanks! 3. Mac, That's the family. My gt-gt grandfather was Joseph & Clarissa HUBBARD BRAYTON's son William (who m. Ruth Gildersleeve SMITH.) After Joseph died, Clarissa & most of their children moved to Illinois and then to Iowa. I have info on some of these BRAYTON lines. I'll contact you directly to discuss further. Thanks, Judy nofasum@yahoo.com ------ Date: Mon, 19 Apr 2004 13:57:21 -0700 From: "Sharmac Villa" <moonandsixpence@verizon.net> Re: [NYCLINTO] Re: Plattsburgh War of 1812-14 Judy, I noticed that you were researching the Brayton line. Would the line have lived in Franklin County as well? I have the line of Joseph Brayton in my ancestry. He was married to Clarissa Hubbard. I have quite a bit more if your interested and feel that it is your line. Mac __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 2. Missed the first of this thread, so don't know what that reference is from which you're working. If it's a Vermont reference, could you please check Butlers who might have enlisted from North Hero/Grand Isle County. I'm particularly interested in James Butler, who later lived in Beekmantown, Clinton County, but is from the Butler group in Grand Isle . It's entirely possible that he returned to Vermont to enlist.
