    1. [NYCLINTO-L] Research in Ireland
    2. Susan Jones
    3. Hi, I am just wondering if anyone on the list has done research in Ireland. I have received my grgrandfather's birth certificate from Joyce House in Dublin and nowhere on the document does it mention the religious preference of the parents, or where the parents were from originally; Ireland, Scotland, England, etc. The date on the document is correct. The event took place in 1866 and I thought they had this sort of information on the birth documents. All that is mentions is the address of the parents and the occupation of the father. One other short question. Did they have printers guilds in Ireland back in 1866 and if so, how would one go about find information on an ancestor who was a printer? Thank-you for all your help. 3. Hi Bettie, I believe I have answered your request on the Craig and Wells families. On the Starkey surname, I could only find the spelling as Starky. It was for a William Lewis Starky and a Willis Luther Starky. Both lived in the town of Saranac. I also know that a lot of people on the list seemed interested in finding this book so when I saw it again for sale, I just gave a little shout. You have a great evening and if we do not get to talk again for awhile, have a Great Thanksgiving.
