I saw several mentions of folks from Cazenovia and Pitcher going across the border to Cortland. One surname hopped out - Ingalls and I wondered if this person was tied into Anita's family tree. The family I need is: Joshua Mersereau b 1759 Staten Island and wife Dinah Garrison/Garretson John Garrison Mersereau b 1799 Guilford, Chenango Co and wife Julia Redfield Samuel Mersereau b 1823 Guilford, Chenango County Co. and wife Esther Butts William Bradford Mersereau b 1852 Portville, Cattaraugus Co. and wife Helen Emily Leavens Further descent is in the far West, especially Oregon.
