Does anyone know anything about a Packard Funeral home or where it was located? They handled the funerals of Mercyr B & Walter B. Harrington in 1925 & 1928. I am trying to track down the funeral home but I don't know if it still exists or not. This couple is supposed to be buried in Oneonta Plains Cemetery and there is no record of any kind that tells anything about them or shows them buried there nor can they be found in any place in the cemetery. If the funeral home no longer exists it could maybe still help me to know where it was located. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Sandy Goodspeed Oneonta Plains Cemetery Historian
Sandy, I looked in the Business section of my 1902 Chenango Co. Directory, but did not find a Packard Funeral home listed there. However, I believe the businesses listed there were paid for and not free. There are several funeral directors listed. Let me know what town or township this would have been in, and I'll see if there ere any close. We haven't corresponded in a while, hope things are going well for you.
