    3. Listers, I am more than happy to search any surnames in the 2 vol. set of "Vermont Families 1791". I'll respond to your queries at your email address rather than the mailing list. Two mailing list Administrators contacted me to tell me that their listers were unhappy with that situation, so it is best if I respond to each directly. I do want to help, so I don't care how many queries I get. This is what genealogy is all about! Deanna

Just a contrary thought -- The administrators of more than one list I belong to urge people who answer queries, including look-ups, to reply to the list for two reasons: the information may help more than the original writer; the responder could be spared having to reply to multiple identical queries. Anyone not interested can just use the Delete button. Isabel

    3. No matter what list I've been on, world-wide, since rootsweb began, there has always been a fly or two buzzing around... 3. I'll tell you what happened at on one mailing list. My Uncle spent many years researching families of a particular county. 5 vol. I wanted to s hare this information on the mailing list for that county. I never sent more than a screen full of data. Very interesting data. The list administrator told me to stop because listers were complaining to her and unsubscribing. I was very saddened by that At another site I offered to search names in a particular book that I have. I have a vast collection of material. Als, I'm a Professional genealogist and have rec'd permission from some clients that I have worked with long ago, to share there material. The list adm. on that particular site told me to respond off the mailing list. I understand how you feel Isabel. I feel the same. I want to share, but when I run into adversity for it, there's nothing I can do. 3. Deanna, Appreciate your generous offer to do look-ups! Do you see anything in either volume for David or Prudence Fish in Leicester, Addison County and Daniel or Tryphena Babcock in Weathersfield, Windsor County? Thank you very much! Chris
