Absolutely. After all, that is the purpose of this list. Why would anyone complain about genealogy on a genelogy list??? ----- Original Message ----- From: <Perllan987@aol.com> To: <nychenan@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 10:09 AM Subject: Re: [NYCHENAN] Responding to queries > > In a message dated 2/12/2008 3:17:15 A.M. What I ended up doing was to start a newsgroup for that county and I typed data as fast as I could to share. Unfortunately, it didn't get much response. I thought that persons "surfing" through the internet for a particular surname, may catch that site. I tried for about 2 months. I needed to be on that mailing list. I believe most long time members of the list will agree that I'm fairly lenient in watching over the list. As long as folks don't get too rowdy, I let them chat back and forth over the fence, around the water cooler, over coffee, around the pickle barrel and for those in those colder regions around the pot-bellied stove. Unless I get some rather strident complaints, most of the time I let such go. As we are all different, there are some list minders that are less tolerant. I try to treat folks like I'd like to be treated. That said, I have no qualms about the Vermont information as relates to Chenango county being discussed / posted here. Tim Stowell
