My Amy Button would have been a widowed Mrs. Brown at the time of the wedding. Could she have been Deiadamia's "Aunt"? John BUTTON and Anna MACCOONE were the parents of both John Hancock BUTTON and Amy BUTTON. John Hancock was the father of Deiadamia BUTTON and therefore Amy BUTTON, who had married an unknown BROWN, was Deiadamia's aunt and had the last name of BROWN. This must be the aunt you are looking for. Amy died in 1881; I do not have the death date of her BROWN husband so cannot prove that she was a widow when Deiadamia married. All of this information came from Button Families of America. Thanks for the first name of the CHASE that Deiadamia married. I had only his last name. **************Ideas to please picky eaters. My Amy Button, wife of Nathan Wells Brown, was b abt Oct 1769 d. Mar 28, 1854 and buried in Brookfield. So she in not John Hancock Button's sister, who died in 1881. I did not have a spouse for that Amy. I wonder what the source for her spouse's name "Brown" is. Does anyone know where Amy sister of John Hancock Button is buried?
