Mar 28, 1854 and buried in Brookfield. She married Nathan Wells Brown. Her daughter marries the son of Lawton Palmer Jr. and Nancy Button. Nancy is a daughter of John Button and Anna McCoon. I suspect she is somehow related to these Button's but I have never been able to figure out how. I only have info on John and Anna's line. I have two Amy BUTTONs. One was born August 6, 1797 and married an Unknown BROWN. At first I thought that she was the same as the Amy BUTTON in your message who married a Nathan Wells BROWN, but the birth date is different. She was the daughter of John BUTTON and Anna MACCOONE as was the Nancy you mention. What is the name of Amy's daughter who married the son of Lawton PALMER, Jr. and Nancy BUTTON and what was the name of Lawton PALMER's son? They were first cousins, weren't they? The other Amy BUTTON I have was born January 26, 1747/48 in Voluntown CT. Her parents were Matthias BUTTON and Mary BROWN. I have no other information about her. I have info on the BUTTONs from Matthias who came to this country in 1628. I will send it to you if you would like to have it. It has all of the branches, although I can't promise that it has all information about all the branches. Another early settler, John Button, built the first gristmill a short distance away near a 70-foot waterfall on the creek which was thereafter known as Button's Falls. The Nathan Wells Brown, husband of Amy Button (b. abt 1769) were from Unadilla Forks, Otsego Co., like these other better known Buttons. The book you reference in the URL: "Trials and Triumphs of an Orphan Girl, or the Biography of Mrs. Deiadamia Chase" is interesting. Deadamia was the daughter of John Button (b. 1777) who was the son of John Button and Anna McCoon. Deadamia Button marries Orrin Chase at the home of Mrs. Brown, the widowed aunt of Deiadamia. Can any identify who this aunt was? My Amy Button would have been a widowed Mrs. Brown at the time of the wedding. Could she have been Deiadamia's "Aunt"?
