Just found, for 1910, Adella Wheeler, born Mexico, in Otsego County, a county James R. TEFFT had lived in earlier. I found her by searching for ALL Mexicans living in New York in 1910. She died in 1917 during childbirth, and if she had left when quite young, she would not have been there in 1900. And there she was. Now I can't say for sure if she is the person in that baptismal record. I have not dismissed that. But I feel confident this is the girl I seek - in Otsego. Thanks for all your interest and assistances. If you can find anything else on (transcriber spelling) Adella, such as in a newspaper database, that would be very, very welcome at this point.
