If he was in the Conectivut troops he did not receive a grant in the Military Tract in New York State. They were issued only to NYS troops. See "The Balloting Book." Many of the men that did receive lots did not settle on them and sold or traded them to other family members, friends and neighbors. Many were scooped up by land speculators and resold at bargain prices. some were just out right stolen by squatters.
