Bacon died recently at Sherburne at the age of 102. She was at the head of a family known as the Reese family, and she could count her descendants by hundreds. (Ed. 1. [NYCHENAN] Sale of SC Slave Letters to Maggie HAGAMAN, of Chenango Forks, New York in 1857
    2. Neil Boyden Tanner
    3. All, There is currently an online auction for some fascinating South Carolina slave letters that relate to Chenango County. There are two letters from South Carolina written by a person named Cal to Maggie HAGAMAN, of Chenango Forks, New York, in 1857. The content may be offensive to some. I am unrelated to this sale but thought it may be of interest to someone on the list. The link for the auction is: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5588940?from=alert Neil
