I don't have a definitive connection but can offer this family as a potential match... 1. Daniel Ellis was born in 1802 in Slab City, NY. He died on 5 Nov 1857 in NY. The 1850 census shows 3 boys and 2 girls named: Lennird, Orlando, Lorenzo, Louise and Harriet. But, the www.rootsweb.com/~nyhchs/familysketches shows 4 boys and 1 girl named: Orrin, Alanson, Orlando, LeRoy, Lorenzo and Louisa. I have combined them here but one is likely incorrect. Daniel married Sally Coy daughter of Comfort Coy and Sarah Burdette. Sally was born in 1806 in Sherburne, NY. She died in 1874 in Oneida County, NY. They had the following children: 2 M i. Orrin Ellis . 3 M ii. Alanson Ellis . 4 M iii. Orlando Ellis was born in 1833. 5 M iv. LeRoy Ellis . 6 M v. Lorenzo Ellis was born in 1836. 7 F vi. Louisa Ellis was born in 1842. 8 M vii. Leonard Ellis was born in 1829. 9 F viii.
