    3. I'm looking for any relatives descended from Joseph Byrom, born 1827 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Joseph was the brother of my 2x great grandmother Mary Byrom. Joseph emigrated with his family in 1863, and first appears on US census records in 1870 as a worker in a cotton factory. With him are his wife Betsy (nee Walsh, born Blackburn UK) and children James (15), Henry (13), Elizabeth (10), George (8,born new York) and Rosanna (6 months, born NewYork). Also with them are Orville and Mary A Spicer from Blackburn. There were other children born before James, but no trace of them on the 1870 census. I think George, born 1863, married Nettie Smith and had at least two children- Nettie M Byrom (born 1896) and Elsie J Byrom (born 1903). Joseph was widowed by 1900 and living in Earlville Village. He was still alive in 1910. I would love to know when Joseph and Betsy died and where they are buried, or to find out if their children married. I am unsure how to gain access to birth, marriage and death records from that period, though I have found earlier ones online. I would also love to get in contact with any relatives. Barbara, Manchester, UK.
