    3. My mother and my maternal grandmother spent years researching their ancestors. I've done nothing more than connect a branch to a tree. Below is a short summary of their work. What follows are the wives and mothers of my mother's side of the family. Three sons and a daughter of Oliver Dyer and Patience Sweet removed from RI and settled in New Berlin between 1800 and 1820. Jeremiah left by 1812 first to Jefferson Co and then to Niagara County, NY. Arthur removed around 1830 or so to Hornellsville, Steuben Co, NY. Nehemiah remained in New Berlin. Four generations of his descendents called New Berlin home. Celinda married Isaac Phillips and they also settled in New Berlin with family residing there for many generations. Oliver, Patience, Nehemiah, and Celinda are all buried in the Dyer Cemetery in New Berlin. Jeremiah is buried in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Lockport, Niagara Co, and Arthur is buried in the Hornellsville Cemetery, Hornellsville, Steuben Co., NY. 3. These names are new to me except CARPENTER. I believe that Jeremiah Sweet's mother's maiden name was Carpenter. Glocester, Providence Co., RI. I will spend some time looking for a Rhoda and get back.
