Happy Mother's Day to all. Grandmothers, great grandmothers and gg grandmothers and other female ancestors are sometimes very difficult to research. I have been lucky to find many of those mothers and wives from whom I descend. Some of my earliest female ancestors discovered so far are: Elisabet Aertsen Drinckvelt; b abt 1622 in the Netherlands married three times before coming to to America in 1655 with her husband Willem Brouwer & 3 children, married a third time & died in Albany abt 1672. I descend from her daughter Elisabeth Brouwer De Graaf. Priscilla Mullins; b abt 1602 in England married John Alden in 1621 after landing in Massachusetts with the Mayflower Pilgrims. I descend from her daughter Ruth Alden Bass. Sarah Thayer; b abt 1644 in Braintree, MA married Samuel Hayden in 1676. I descend from her daughter Sarah Hayden Wild. Elizabeth Torrey; b abt 1765 in Leicester, MA married Jedediah Johnson in 1792 in Vermont and died in Madison Co., NY in 1854. Margretha R. Stansell; b abt 1761 in Minden, NY married George Busch in 1777 in Tryon Co., NY and died in Montgomery Co., NY in 1829. Loretta Warner b abt 1760 in Connecticut married John Dibble in 1791 in CT and died in Guilford, Chenango Co., NY abt 1853. Bush & Maria Appel] married Emanuel Joseph Shampang 1860 in Boylston, Oswego Co., NY. & died 1915 in White Store, Chenango Co., NY. & is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, White Store. She had 9 children: three daughters who were born, married & died in Chenango Co. Ida E. Shampang; born 1865 in Boylston, Oswego Co., NY, married Albert J. Young 1882 In Norwich, Chenango Co., NY, & died 1934 in Guilford, Chenango Co., NY was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, White Store. Mary Frances Shampang; born 1870 in White Store, Chenango Co., NY., married George A. Law abt. 1901 In Chenango Co., NY, died 1931 in Guilford, Chenango Co., NY was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, White Store. Jessie M. Shampang; born 1873 in White Store, Chenango Co., NY., married Calvin T. Wade 1891 in White Store, Chenango Co., NY, & died 1903 in Guilford, Chenango Co., NY was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, White Store. Cora A. Dibble; my great grandmother, born 1863 in Butternuts, Otsego Co., NY [daughter of Russell J. Dibble & Philomena L. Bowers and great granddaughter of Loretta Warner Dibble, of Guilford, Chenango County] married Eugene E. Hendrickson in Gilbertsville, Ostego Co., NY. She died 1947 Gilbertsville, Ostego Co., NY. Luella Carrie Hendrickson; my grandmother, 1884 Butternuts, Otsego Co., NY [daughter of Eugene E. Hendrickson & Cora A. Dibble] married Archie C. Shampang 1905 in Norwich, Chenango Co., NY.
