I can't believe with all the years of my research, I never had seen this Daniel Hale in the Will Index. I was told old wills or index to wills are kept at the Surrogates office which are separate from the Clerks office? I have the person of interest and Liber/page... Hale, Daniel July 5, 1841(proven date) E(Liber) 103 (pg) If someone could please be my eyes and look this up and send me a copy I would be most appreciative! Perhaps if someone is looking something up there themselves, and would do an out of state person a favor and send me a copy? I will pay any fee, and a few more dollars for your time. I did see a pd researcher, but 50$ seemed a bit steep for me, when I am not even sure this is the right Daniel Hale. I am pretty certain it is though...If the decedant named children, Fanny(James)Sergeant,Ruth (Wells)Sergeant, Harriet(Andrew) Pearse, Ebenezer(Philleta or Violetta) Hale, or a Daniel(Emily) Hale. Than this may be my gggg grandfather I have been trying so hard to find in 15 years.I have Daniel died in 1840, his first wife Mary(Polly) Bartlett died in 1827. Daniel just may have remarried after her death. Daniel was the s/on Lt Thomas Hale of North Brookfield, who was a State senator,State Representative and served two terms in the Revolutionary War. I am a member of the NSDAR, but have never been able to prove his burial location. If someone could please be of assistance, I'd be forever grateful. I have wrote several articles on Thomas Hale for our local Historical Society ETC. They were in Brookfield MA and then migrated to Oneida Co., NY by 1820. Fanny Hale, my ggg married James Sergeant of South New Berlin and New Berlin, NY, and pioneered to SE WI by 1846. Her younger sister, Ruth Hale married Wells Ely Sergeant, of SNB, So I understand there were strong ties to Chenango Co. Today I found a niece, of my ggg grandmother's, named Mary Hale, d/o Ebenezer Hale was also born in Norwich, under Chenango Co births. Please, if anyone could help... Thank you all again!
