This is a diary I just found on EBay. I thought I would mention it as the conversation has been on Bainbridge. I do not have anything to do with this auction. This was written just post Civil War by a man named Horace C. Shepardson. He lived in Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York. He appeared to be a busy, hard working man. It is a full diary with 365 entries, logs in the back, a very unique item. Has a small bit of history in the front of the "Memorable Events in the Secession Rebellion". It appears to be a leather folding cover on the diary. It is about 3" by 6". It is complete, no obvious missing pages, though one is loose and another has been taped that I saw. It shows some stains and fading, not surprising for it's age. It is in realitvily good condition considering, very readable in most spots. A one of kind piece of American HISTORY!!!
