He was the son of Daniel Wheeler, b 1771, Canaan, Columbia County, NY and Amanda Pease, b 1777, Connecticut. Sylvester lived his life in Otselic (and South Otselic), Chenango County, NY where he was a merchant in the hardware business (S. Wheeler & Son). Sylvester was married to Anna Pierce, b 1798, Connecticut. They had three (3) sons, Wakeman S. Wheeler, b 1827, Otselic, Chenango County, NY; Jerome Wheeler, b 1829, Otselic, Chenango County, NY; and Hiram S. Wheeler, b 1835, Lincklaen, Chenango County, NY. Sylvester Wheeler was born 03 Mar 1801 and died Feb 1881, Otselic, Chenango County, NY. I would be interested in hearing from descendants of the son Wakeman S. Wheeler or the son Jerome Wheeler. I descend from the other son, Hiram S. Wheeler. If anyone has information, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you. Hi Richard I am related to a Pease family from Chenango. My Wheelers are from delaware co, NY, and early Mass and Connecticut villages My great aunt Minerva Sluyter; daughter of Joshua Sluyter and Elizabeth Olivia Pease; daughter of Oliver Pease. Minerva married my great uncle Otis Alvin Elwood. This couple removed to Nebraska after their marriage. Do my family make any connection in your data? Do your Pease family connect with the Pease's in Ashatabula Co., OH in the early 1800's? I have Anna Celina Pease daughter of Joel m. to Anson Andrews b. Chenango Co., NY in 1810. They moved to Thayer Co., NE. The Andrews family moved from Chenango Co., NY about 1821 to Ashtabula and Richland Co.'s OH. Joel Pease was b. in CT and m. Asenath Atwood. Another daughter of Joel, Asenath b. 1813 m. Asa Andrews b. 1814 at Chenango Co. I have Elizabeth Pease m. to Joshua Giddings b. 1756.
