I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the ALLIS Family of Ohio and New York. The first is a photograph of Angeline Betsy ALLIS GODING HARING which was taken in the 1860's in Norwalk, Ohio. Angeline appears to be in her 20's at the time. The second photograph is identified as Vernette ALLIS at age 1 year and 8 months of age. The photograph was taken at the F. D. Wood Studio in Greene, New York, probably sometime in the 1870's. Based on limited research I have been able to gather the following information regarding the family: Angeline ALLIS b. 21 Jan 1836 was the daughter of William ALLIS (b. 15 Sept 1793 in Coventry, NY) and Betsey WILSON. Angeline was one of the couples 5 children including, Edward; Ira; Leonard; Franklin; and Angeline ALLIS all born between 1818 and 1836 , the first two in Coventry, NY, the third in Charlotte, MI, and the last two including Angeline in Elyria, OH. Angeline married Elbert HARING on 7 Oct 1868 and together they had 2 children, Carleton Angelo; and Anna Elberta HARING. Vernette Elizabeth ALLIS b. 6 Jul 1867 in Elyria, OH was the daughter of Spencer Franklin ALLIS (b. 24 Apr 1835 in Coventry, NY) and Elizabeth Eunice KALES (b. 30 May 1840). Vernette was one of 4 children including, William Spencer; Leonard Guy; Vernette Elizabeth; and Anna Frances ALLIS all born between 1863 and 1870 the first two in Coventry, NY and the last two in Elyria, OH. Vernette married Maxime L. LONGUET (b. 1868 in NY) on 23 Jun 1892 and together they had a son, Louis Leonard LONGUET b. 1 Sept 1893 in Seattle, WA.
