    3. Tim, In my 1902 Chenango Co. Directory, there is the following entry: In the town of Pitcher: NEWCOMB, William E., North Pitcher, road 12, funeral director, farmer on 132 acres Jack Eaton Indianapolis, IN ----- Original Message ---- From: Tim Stowell <tstowell@chattanooga.net> To: nychenan@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 12:05:31 AM Subject: [NYCHENAN] Newcomb - North Pitcher As promised - a note of query - for myself. I have a booklet with the signature of Eva L Newcomb, North Pitcher, Chenango Co. N. Y. on its first page. I'm guessing this was written circa 1880 based on other items in the booklet. Does anyone know of this person and/or their history in the county? It occurred to me upon reading your reply that I probably have the Cortland County equivalent of your book since I'm willing to bet it was by the same publisher, which mentioned there was a Chenango County edition. The Cortland edition has over 500 pages - one of my numerous projects to do before I cross over. At the rate I'm going, I'll need about 15 more years. (I just keep finding more stuff to add). I'm still figuring out formatting but have a little personal autograph book that my Grandmother acquired as a child of about 13, with associated schoolmates prose and signatures. Tim
