I understand that a Town in New York is different than it is els ewhere. The grantors in this transaction were from the village of Newburgh, in the county of Orange and Kingston in the county of Ulster. Barstow is listed as of the Town of Easton in the county of Chenango & State of New York. Hopefully, there is someone out there that may know the history of the possible changes in names for Towns in Chenango County. Perhaps the location can be fou nd by the description of the lot numbers. Any help will be greatly appreciated. 3. There is a town by the name of Eaton, in Madison County, the county directly north of Chenango Co. You might want to try that. Jack Eaton (no not born in Eaton, born in Pitcher, Chen.
