I, too, have collected data on Ichabod White as well as on all the other early White families of Chenango Co in a search for the fellow who married my aunt Eunice Root about 1797 in Chenango Co. He is said in a biography in Lenawee Co, MI, to have been Daniel White, "lawyer, judge in Oxford, Chenango Co". They are said to have had son Josephus (4th son) b Williamson, Wayne Co NY 5 Aug 1808 d Lenawee Co 4 Oct 1880 m 16 Dec 1834 Sarah BIDDLE. Both parents are said to have died in Wayne Twp, Erie Co, PA, but I've failed to find evidence for this or for any confirmed record of Daniel and Eunice anywhere! Always hoping someone has heard of this particular White family. charlie
