Shirley Boyce Goerlich (abt. 1937-2005) was a graduate of Sidney High School, possibly Cobleskill College, teacher, genealogist, Town of Unadilla Historian, Organizing Regent of Gen. John Paterson Chapter, NSDAR at Whitney Point, NY. She authored a number of books. Wife of Robert Goerlich, mother of Bobby and Daniel. Shirley and her husband were shot and killed April 2005 by a deranged woman who she had befriended at their winter home in Florida. I knew Shirley personally when she lived in Greene, NY and was Regent of our DAR chapter. The family moved back to the Sidney area when her father became ill.
