    3. Donna, Have you looked for John Vosburg's will? It might give the relationship between Jesse and John. Do you know the religious affiliation of the Vosburg's or Mr Crosby? Chruch records may contain some information. Jesse's DC and obit should have some reference to his being adopted. Guardianship papers at the Surrogate Court clerk's office may also tell his story.
