    3. I hope you do know this cemetery is listed on USGenWeb, Chenango County with a list of those buried there. I was in this cemetery, probably 15 years ago and it was very overgrown then but no where near the condition you state that it is in now. Such a shame that counties, or even civic groups, cannot honor those gone before to keep them up--even once a year would be a blessing. Dorothy

    3. Dorothy, yes, I have had the list of those buried there for quite some time. All of the Blackman's buried there my family. George and Mary Ann are great-great-grandparents and Curtis and Amy go back one more generation from there. Simeon and Lordina are my great-grandfather's brother and sister-in-law and Burton is their son. I'm in Kansas, so doing anything from here is impossible but the need is so great. I just want to go there and let my family know I still care, even if it seems that no one local does anything to memorialize them. dorothy baker <dedor7020@yahoo.com> wrote: I hope you do know this cemetery is listed on USGenWeb, Chenango County with a list of those buried there. 3. Melissa, I know how you feel. I descend from the Boydens who are buried in this same cemetery. I was planning to get up there this summer and hoped to clean up the cemetery but now it looks like I won't make it unfortunately. Maybe we can contact the local boyscout troop to see if they can help. On a genealogy note, I'd be interested in sharing information with you to see if we have any connections since for generations our families lived next door to one another and were buried in the same place.
