My Chenango County Thompsons begin w/ Charles Thompson (b. 1780-1781 in Connecticut) married to Ruby Kingsley. I have been unable to tie this Charles to any of his ancestors. The earliest I have him is the 1830 census in Linklaen, Chenango Co, not far from Pharsalia. (But I don't know where he was previously). He has a son Charles. This Charles has two sons Charles and James. I haven't seen names Randolph or Thaddeus. In 1840 and 1850 (still Linklaen) the eldest Charles lives next door to an Aaron Thompson (b. VT). Probably a relative, maybe a nephew?? If you have any info on above Thompsons, or find any ties to them, would be interested to hear.
