1. [NYCHENAN] 1902 map
2. Jack Eaton
3. John, Thanks for the check that I received via the regular mail. I hope the map is helpful in your research. Let me know if you run across any surnames from the 1902 era, so I can check and see if they are listed. Jack, By the way our ancestors arrived about the same time. I am descended from Jonas EATON who arrived on the New England coast in 1637 from England. Hope this is not a repeat: I was able to find that info and connect my line to him by going to the New England Genealogical and Historical Society (NEHGS) in Boston. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Shape Yahoo! in your own image. Author: skinnyturtle692 Surnames: Fisher Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chenango/1263/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking to find out any information on William Fisher from Oxford, Chenango County, New York. According to the census information i've come across, he was born Nov. 1831 in Württemberg, Germany. He was married to Lydia, born in NY in 1841 & had 5 children: -Elmira b. 1861 -Mary b. 1864 -Henry b. 1867(i believe this henry is my gg-grandfather) -Temperence b. 1870 -Betty b. 1878 He may have possibly been married to a Mary, before Lydia & possibly married a 3rd time to Lucretia(name appears on 1880 census), but i'm not sure if that was a typo for Lydia, seeing as the name Lydia appears on census info after 1880. I'm looking for a death date for him, along with any information on Lydia & the kids. Also wanted to find out when he came to the US and if he came by himself or with other family members. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
