Keziah is a biblical name although at the moment I can't remember where it is from other than it is Old Testament. When it was finally settled, some people held deeds from NY to land that was now in Vermont and Vermont would not honor their deeds so NY gave these people the option to move to the "wild west" of their day now known as Chenango County, NY. I think land in Chenango County was also made available for the veterans of the day. Preston is where my Randall line merges with my Stafford line! I wonder it I can find where they were buried. BTW, is Geneva in the same area as Norwich in Chenango county ?? Eventually living in Preston, Chenango Co., NY What was the reason for movement of so many from parts of Vt. to Chenango Co.? OK, curiosity is killing the cat here. I'm researching LORD and WHEELER in Chenango (Pharsalia) and Augusta (Oriskany Falls) Counties. My gg-grandparents were Francis (Frank) Delay LORD and Lydia Jane (Jennie) WHEELER. I've hit a brick wall on Jennie. I know she had a younger brother named Wayne but I don't know who her parents were. Frank and Jennie moved to Kansas around 1870.
