    1. [NYCHENAN] Freeborn Lewis - Norwich Chenango Co NY - 1784 to 1822
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: welchkirlin Surnames: Lewis - Terry Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chenango/1281/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for information on Freeborn Lewis who was married to Esther Terry (1788-1865), daughter of Elnathan Terry and Mary Kenyon. They would have lived near Norwich Chenango Co NY. I've seen a report that there was a Freeborn Lewis who was born 4/6/1784 and died 2/27/1822. That would fit in with my timeline, as Esther married someone else shortly after that. I can't remember if that is the same Freeborn Lewis I've seen reported as having been buried in Mount Hope cemetery near Norwich, Chenango Co NY. Does anyone know where to find gravestone photos from that cemetery? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Bruce A Sherwood Sr
    3. Hello List, Among my mothers papers is what appears to be a page from the 1930 year book. There is a class photo followed by a list of names in alphabetical order not the usual left to right, standing, sitting etc. I've scanned the page but the photo comes out a bit grainy. I can send the scanned page to anyone that may be interested. Paquette, Jeanne , PresidentStewart, Wilfred, Vice PresidentMcTighe, Dorothy, SecretaryScott, Joyce, Treasure Balcom, L. Favorito, R. 1. [NYCHENAN] Update to NYS Vital Records Indexes - Free Look Ups!
    2. Dick Hillenbrand
    3. Read our latest Blog with some additional information regarding the eight sets of NYS microfiche indexes to Births, Deaths and Marriages for most of the Upstate New York areas. Now one of the libraries is offering to do free lookups! Read the story on Upstate New York Genealogy Blog at http://ny-genes.blogspot.com. ps: The Blog site is getting thousands of hits at this time, and it is responding slowly. If you go to http://ny-genes.blogspot.com and wait for the page to fill in (it will at first appear quite dark,) it will fill in eventually. If you are on broadband there should be no problem. If you are on dialup it will take longer, but hey, free is worth the wait. If it does not fill in within a minute or two, try back later. We are just getting hammered. Dick Hillenbrand www.unyg.com

    1. [NYCHENAN] one more for the road
    2. Tim Stowell
    3. Since this is a major change, I'm posting this as my one for or before the road messages. The following information came my way last night. TGN/RW ("RootsWeb") has implemented a policy change in which banners are to be placed on all TGN/RW hosted websites. RootsWeb intends to begin the placement of the banners beginning on or about March 15, 2008. The banners are viewable here: http://www.usgenweb.com/images/rootswebbanner/default1.jpg [default one] http://www.usgenweb.com/images/rootswebbanner/default2.jpg [default two] http://www.usgenweb.com/images/rootswebbanner/default3.jpg [default three] If I so choose something like this can be placed on the sites I maintain, else one of the 3 above will appear or perhaps some other alternative. http://www.usgenweb.com/images/rootswebbanner/custom.jpg [custom to USGenWeb Project] This banner will appear at the top of each and every page on the site(s). And away we go! Tim
