Tim This might be the SDB Cemetery for the church known as 2nd Verona SDB Church. Many of the members of that church (l864-1903) located in Oneida County NY. I have listings of members and contributors of monies to this small church that was associated with the 1st Verona SDB Church. Most of the members were from the Chenango and Madison County area etc.. I have been to the Cemetery located at State Bridge and have some listings of burials and members. If you send me the Surname your are searching for I would be happy to check my records. I also will be doing a Genealogy lecture/workshop tomorrow PM at the "Turning Stone" in Verona for the annual NYS Convention (NYS Retired Teachers) and could check further if I receive the information ASAP (leaving at 7 AM to drive down) and I also have an appointment to do research Thurs. at the existing Verona SDB church and area. In subsequent censes, a Lavina Stanton (BD ~1817 in MA: DD 16Oct1872) & her son, James H. Stanton (BD 1840)live w/ her. I have found record of a Lavinia Cadwell marrying a John Stanton on 26MAr1836. I have learned that Orrin served in the War of 1812, & was injured in combat @ the Battle of Lundy's Lane, Gen Winfield Scott, & received war pension for his service. I need to find if those I am aware of are tied to those I am not. I have followed James Stanton's census records through to 1910 in N! orwich. An A at the end of a name would indicate a female if you recheck babtismal it is Bernandina I typed it wrong. I wonder where the mother went. I can't seem to find her in 1920. Also did you notice under occupation it said own income. I woder why she picked Butternuts in Otsego County? Linda Slawson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vincent E. The "o" at the end of a given name generally denotes male. "a" would denote female. So, Gregorio is a male, Gregoria is a female. Apellidos or family surnames may end any way, and "o"s or "a"s are just part of the name, with no gender reference. -----Original Message----- From: nychenan-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nychenan-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Vincent E.
