Does it have another name? I am looking for a listing on findagrave.com but there is none. Is this cemetery in the village of Greene or is Laurel Rd. south of the village? I understand there is also another Chapel Cemetery more commonly referred to as Old Chapel Cemetery in the Town of Coventry. Can anyone help me on these two points? Would like to eventually obtain photos from this cemetery. (Badgers) MAny thanks. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If I remember right, the Village of Coventry is in the Town of Greene, so I personally would go to Coventry.

Several other states have done this and the index gives no more information than the SSDI already does. We've been paying 22 dollars per record for quite some time now and I think they've made enough to attempt a project like the digitization of the index. As always we can have more of an impact on our representatives with larger numbers so I would truly love it if my fellow NYS Genealogists wrote in to their representatives as well. Today's Ithaca Journal http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/theithacajournal/obituary.aspx?n=leon-aldrich&pid=141071962 has the obituaries for Leon and Grace WINTERS ALDRICH. Leon was the son of Earl and Gladys McNITT ALDRICH of Guilford, and Grace was the daughter of Charles and Anna TEMPLE WINTERS of Oxford. I will scan the obituaries and keep them in my records for people who would like a copy after they are no longer available at the Ithaca Journal web site. They are not related to us in any way, but were friends of ours.

Though I started following my Cleveland line many years ago (my mother is a Cleveland), a cousin independently had also linked up the family back to Moses Cleveland...I'm not in the U.S. and all my past research and the cousin's materials are stored away at my parents..Just for fun, i'm retracing the linkages through the internet now and saw your posting...My grandfather was Charles Glen Cleveland, son of William-Flora, grandson of Addison/Adison-Jane, great-grandson of Merritt/Merit-Charlotte, etc. While he was alive,my Grandfather was quite accurate (later confirmed) in remembering details of his grandparents and family (though Charles abandoned his first wife and five sons, and stole money from his parents to run off with my grandmother to the West Coast--a long hidden secret)---I also asked questions of his brother Raymond while still alive lived in Indiana but came to visit us. we go to get our son! In less than 24 hours we depart on our trip to Taiwan. He is now 8 years old, having had his birthday on January 4th. His given name at birth is Yu-Hsuan (U-Swan). We'll be adding Samuel to this name. I'll go to work Thursday morning and our daughter will be at school to give my wife time to do last minute packing. Our daughter, 10, will be going with us. She is excited to get a brother and keeps telling folks we are going to China. No dear, not China, Taiwan. We leave Atlanta later Thursday afternoon. We arrive in Taiwan Saturday evening, Chattanooga time, after a multi hour layover in Seattle. In Taipei, we'll take the bullet train south to Tainan where the orphanage is. Our son lives in a foster home some distance from the orphanage in the foothills of the central mountain range. After Gotcha Day, we'll take the bullet train north to Taipei to do the American side of the process which extends over two days and a weekend. He served in the Revolutionary War as a Private, enlisting May 6 and being discharged Oct 15. But he came to Chenango County with his wife, Alice Edwards (second wife Johanna), and children sometime between 1790 and 1796, so I thought he might be lisited in the Revoutionary War Vets book mentioned. One of his sons was Charles (married Mary Hopkins) and one of Charles' sons was Welcome. It is Welcome who has been my 'brick wall' for over 30 years. I have been searching for his birthdate and place, and of course his parents. I found this connection (with Charles and Michael) through the Chenango Historical Society library in Norwich. Welcome married Louisa Angell in Pittsfield, NY in 1843, then moved to Calumet County, Wisconsin in 1850. If this information connects with anyone I would love to hear from you. thanks, Julie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If available, the book includes those spouses' dates of birth, names of parents (including mothers' maiden names), dates of death. So if your Michael Phillips had a father-in-law who was a vet, Michael's information could be listed there. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
