Their first child was Edwin Davis, born 21 Feb 1828, so the marriage must have taken place in the few years just before. In 1830 and 1840 census years, Jehiel Davis was enumerated in Chautauqua. His father, Jonah Davis, was in Lima, N.Y., in 1820, when it was in Ontario Co., in 1830, when it was in Livingston Co. In 1840 he was in Waterloo, Seneca Co. Any Davis and Seeley students out there?
