According to the book "Kryger information" by Lila Catherine Garver, Adriaantje died in Dunkirk that same year (must have been in the 2nd half, they immigrated in June). They had 2 sons: Leonard and Jacob jr. Peter remarried and eventually moved to Nebraska. Question: does anyone know anything about this family? I am especially interested in Adriaantje, as I am trying to trace her sister Lena Boer (Ellen Bowers) who also came to the US in 1848.
