Think he might be the Amasa who migrated to Erie Co. PA. Also believe he is related to Wests of Hartwick, Otsego Co. NY -- and Prince West-- whose obit was published in Fredonia Censor 1829. Specifically: I am seeking John West who might be Amasa's son. Various histories of Chautauqua mention a John West who was bound out to Philo Hopson of Chautauqua County.
