IRELAND will be 90 years old Wednesday and will give dinner - party to kin at Kennedy Church: Wednesday is the 90th anniversary of Nathaniel S. Ireland's birth and it is going to be given a real celebration. Mr. Ireland, who was one of 13 children born to a sturdy pioneer who settled in Poland 100 years ago, is the only surviving member of Company B, 64th New York Volunteer regiment is entertaining his kin at a dinner to be served in the Kennedy Baptist church from 12 to 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Willing Workers society of that church, and among those who are expected to attend is Mr. Ireland's sister in law, Mrs. Cordelia Gilbert Ireland Kennon, the oldest resident of Chautauqua county, who on August 14 will be 102 years old. Mrs. Kennon who was a former resident of Falconer is now living with her son, William G. Ireland at Brocton. More than 50 relatives are expected to attend the birthday party, which also will be the annual reunion of the IRELAND family, one of the well known families of the county. After the dinner there will be informal visiting, no definitely settled program to be carried out. Altho the host is starting on his last decade before reaching the century mark, he is active and has energy which many a younger man might envy. He still calls Kennedy his home and no matter how far away from Poland township pleasure or duty may call him he always feels that his native town is the best place to be. wife Mary Salina Akins 1849 in Chautauqua Co., New York, Death: 30 Jul 1896 in Chautauqua Co., burial in Riverside Cemetery 1 dau in file; Coral *(Amber IRELAND) Holcombe, birth 26 Aug 1878, death Dec 1969, Last residence, 33708 (Saint Petersburg, Pinellas, FL) issued in New York contact person for this family data is joanbest1@earthlink.net A very well researched file Dee Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
