Used to have skating on his ponds too. Then again, you may be referring to someone else... I remember the plows... also my Dad ran a route as a kid up on the south side.. He passed on the story that he would be awakened at 3:00am by the farmer (actually, my grandparents were awakened), and off he'd go to plow until 6:00am or so then off to school. Said he'd nearly fall asleep on heavy snow days. I do know he did not work for Hall but I'm unsure who he worked for. There was a piece a while back in the PJ about the old horse drawn plows.
