Mary A Ireland Birth: 1801 Death: 1864 Burial:: Riverside Cemetery Kennedy Chautauqua County New York, USA Plot: Row 2 Grave 18 Nathaniel died intestate and a form was filled out regarding the administration of the estate, as follows [the handwritten part is in italics.] Estate of Nathaniel Ireland deceased. Ar a [sic] Surrogate's Court, held at Mayville in and for the county of Chautauque [sic], this 13th day of May 1863 before George A. Greene Surrogate of said County, On the day and at the place aforesaid, Mary A. Ireland of the town of Poland In said county, appeared and presented a petition that letters of administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Nathaniel Ireland late of the town of Poland in said county, deceased, be granted to the said petitioner. & John D. Ireland WHEREUPON, it was proved to the satisfaction of the said Surrogate, that the said deceased, at the time of his death, was a resident of Poland in the county of Chautauqua That he died at the town of Poland in the county of Chautauqua on the Seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two and that he left no last will and testament, according to the knowledge and belief of the said petitioner; and that the said petitioner has no doubt that the said deceased died intestate, and that the probable value of the personal estate of the said deceased is about five hundred dollars, and that the said petitioner is the widow of the said deceased, and that he left the following kindred entitled to his estate; to wit: Mary A Ireland, his widow and eleven children to wit: James Ireland, Martha A Jopeth, Julia Ann Goodwin, Sarah A. Patterson, Irena E. Goodwin, Nancy P. Hills, John D. Ireland, Nathaniel S. Ireland, Joseph W. Ireland, Mary C. Ireland and Cheeney A. Shepard, La Fayette Shepard children of Hannah a daughter of the deceased who is dead, Isabel Japeth daughter of said Hannah. WHEREUPON, it is ordered that letters of administration of the goods, chattels and credits, of the said deceased be granted to Mary A. Ireland & John D Ireland on their entering into a bond to the people of the State, with two sufficient sureties, to be approved by the said Surrogate, in the penal sum of One thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful execution of the trust reposed in them as such administrator [blank] and obeying all orders of the Surrogate of said county, and taking and subscribing the oath of office prescribed by law. WHEREUPON, on the Thirteenth day of May 1863 the said Mary A & John D Ireland having produced the bond above required, duly executed and approved and having each taken and subscribed the oath of office prescribed by law, which bond and oath are duly filed by the said Surrogate. It is further ordered that letters of administration be granted to the said Mary A. Ireland & John D. Ireland of the goods, chattels and credits, of the said deceased. It is further ordered, on the application of the said administrator that W. S Gaylord and Eldred Lott two disinterested persons of the town of Poland in said county of Chautauqua be appointed appraisers of the personal estate of the said deceased. L. S.
