I obtained Susan Edwards' death cert from NY State Dept of Health, Vital Records Section. It confirms her parents were Jabez Harrington and Lydia Skiff. She was born July 4, 1806 in Sangerfield, Madison County, now within Oneida. I see Jabez in Chenango 1800, and Oneida in 1810 - probably the same place as these counties were being formed at the time. The family moved to Pomfret in 1817 - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nychauta/HISTORY/Early-settlers.htm On the death cert, Lydia's name could be Skiff or Shiff, but in 1820, a James Skiff family lives next door to Jabez and Lydia in Pomfret.
