Limberg, 96, formerly of 140 Indiana Ave., died at 4:50 a.m. Friday (May 6, 2005) in Lutheran Retirement Home. An area resident for most of her life, she was born Oct. 5, 1908, in Smoland, Sweden, the daughter of Severin and Selma Nilsson Karlberg. She was a 1926 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She had been employed as a cook by the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club for many years. She was also very well known as a cook for several Jamestown-area restaurants over the years. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Johnson of Celoron; a son, Bruce E. Limberg of Jamestown; six grandchildren: and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Limberg, whom she married Feb. 23, 1928, and who died May 14, 1985; a son, P. Bryan Limberg, who died Nov. 22, 1970; a brother, Vernon Johnson; and two sisters: Evelyn Johnson and Ethel Strom. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
