DOTY of Stockton, was engaged in moving a building for Mr W.H. CIPPERLY near Moon Station. the horse that was hitched to the captan started to run, and Mr DOTY stepped behind to stop him. In some manner he stumbled and fell, and in rising up, his head became on a level with a lever which struck him, crushing in his skull and killing him almost immediately. Mr DOTY was 75 and a respected resident of Stockton all his life. The funeral was largely attended on Monday.
