Sager Nystrom, 92, formerly of 106 Frederick Blvd., West Ellicott, died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 18, 2005) in Heritage Park Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Ellery Center, the daughter of Henry and Alice Peterson Sager. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Fredonia Normal School. She had been employed by Jamestown and Alden school districts as a music teacher. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church where she was involved with Ladies Aide, Senior Fellowship and served as a deaconess. She is survived by three nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Daniel Nystrom, whom she married May 8, 1959, and who died November 19, 1982; two sisters: Alice Peterson Ellis and Lena Swyers; and a brother Robert Sager.
