He was born in Pompey, Onondaga CO NY but came to Versailles early with his father, a physician, thence early to FREDONIA. For years he was trustee of the Thomas Orphan Asylum, where he died. His business energies were devoted to the manufacture and sale of his fathers eye salve,in which he was very successful.
