Peterson, 95, of 12 High St., West Ellicott, died at 10:34 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 24, 2005) in WCA Hospital. She was born May 28, 1910, in Halmstad, Sweden, a daughter of August and Magna Person Larson. She attended Lander, Pa., schools and was employed by Art Metal Incorporated as a timekeeper for many years. She had also worked for Three Carlson Sisters as a clerk and a model and for Woolworths Department Store. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church and had attended the former Brooklyn Heights United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. For the last several years she attended Lakewood United Methodist Church. Her other memberships include Salvation Army Ladies Aid, Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers, Thule Lodge #127 Vasa Order of America and the former Swedish Society. She enjoyed crocheting afghans. Surviving are a sister, Betty Carlson of Lakewood, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, including nieces Claire (David) Crawford of Ashville and Betty Ann (Larry) Guignon of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Peter! son, who died Oct. 6, 1977 and a brother Lars O. (Johnny) Larson. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Lander, PA.
