Lindstrom, 80 of 22 West Ninth St., Celoron, NY, died at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday (November 16, 2005) in the Lutheran Retirement Home. A lifelong area resident, he was born August 22, 1925 in Jamestown, a son of Harold and Beulah Simmons Lindstrom. Prior to retirement in 1990, he was employed at Blackstone Corp for 43 years. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, he fought in the battles of Ard- ennes, Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland. He was a member of Celoron United Methodist Church; Celoron/WE Seniors Citizens; Lakewood Rod and Gun Club; Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion; and the Century Plus Club of the American Red Cross. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, wood working, walking, and biking. He was known by many as ''Mr. Fixit". Surviving are his wife Beverly J. Myers Lindstrom with whom he celebrated their 55th anniversary July 1, 2005; a daughter, Paula (Terry) Byrne of Syracuse; a loving friend, Karen Johnson of Bemus Point; eight grandchildren, three gr! eat-grandchildren, two sisters, Marian Zdunski and Anne Schilling, both of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Lindstrom who died June 28, 2004. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
