Cala, 85, of the Heritage Park Health Care Center, formerly of 66 Fairfield Ave., died at 9:09 p.m. Saturday, (Nov. 26, 2005) in WCA Hospital. She was born in Jamestown, NY, on June 16, 1920, the daughter of Anthony and Carmela Buttafaro Cala. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed as an accountant at Art Metal, Watson Mfg., Eastern Plywood, and for 10 years at American Locker where she retired in 1985. She was a communicant at St. James Catholic Church and was very active with the annual St. Joseph's Table. Survivors include a nephew Charles Fiorella and two nieces Karm and her husband Paul Messina, Mary and her husband John Nelson; two great-nieces, Lisa Messina and Mary and her husband Ben Lutgen and a great-nephew, John Nelson Jr.; and a great-great-niece, Elizabeth Lutgen, all of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances M. Cala, who died Aug. 3, 1997, Catherine M. Cala who died April 15,1989, Mary Fiorella who died Dec. 4, 1979, and Carmela Cala who died Feb. 12, 1949. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
