Sundeen, 87, of 16 Delevan Ave. died at 10:45 p.m. Friday (Oct. 21, 2005) in her home. An area resident for most of her life, she was born April 2, 1918, in Jamestown, the daughter of John Conrad and Agnes Youngren Carlson. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School. She attended the Lakewood United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Home Bureau of Jamestown. Her family will remember her as a very loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She loved her cat, Missy, who was a great companion for her the past several years. She will also be remembered for her strength of character and her strong spirit throughout her years of illness. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. Sundeen of Severna Park, Md.; three sons: John E. Sundeen Sr. of Lakewood, and Douglas E. and Daniel J. Sundeen, both of Amherst; three grandchildren: Dr. John Sundeen Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Richard Sundeen of Voorheesville, N.Y., and Elizabeth ''Libby'' Wahler of Naples, Fla.; two step-grandchildren: Bethany and Sarah Widzi! nski, both of Amherst; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Sundeen, whom she married Oct. 28, 1939, and who died Nov. 29, 2000; and an infant son, James Sundeen.Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
