The general impression was that the family cared little for society; That his condition was not generally known til a few days before his death. Edwin FAULKNER and Edmond WELLMAN watched with him on the night of his death, a terrible night of rain and flood, and A. H. WOODARD wint to prepare him for funeral. No further help could be summoned as the roads were flooded and the bridges were dangerous to cross at night and the rains occured in torrents. The funeral was held from his home,he was 62 yrs of age, he leaves a wife and 1 son, MARCUS about 30 married who will inherit considerable property left by his father .
